Email and Anti-Spam Policy

Stretching Money Today only sends email that people have asked for. This page explains exactly what we send, how we get permission, and how we handle unsubscribes, bounces and complaints. It applies to all email sent from stretchingmoneytoday.com addresses.
What we send

How we get permission
- Confirmed (double) opt-in. Signing up for the newsletter sends one confirmation email. Nobody receives the newsletter until they click the link in it. Unconfirmed sign-ups get no further email.
- Clear, separate consent. Every signup form says what you'll receive and how often, and consent boxes are never pre-ticked. Creating an account, downloading the free Bill Audit Worksheet, buying the 30-Day Bill Reset or contacting us does not subscribe you to the newsletter.
- Consent records. For each subscriber we store when and where they signed up, the wording they agreed to, and when they confirmed.
- No bought or shared lists. We never buy, rent, scrape, import or share email addresses, and we never pass them to lead buyers or other companies.
What every newsletter includes
- An accurate sender name and a subject line that reflects the content
- A one-click unsubscribe link, plus the standard List-Unsubscribe header that email apps use for their own unsubscribe button

- A reminder of why you're receiving it
We never send offers or ads from phone, internet, insurance or energy companies, and our emails never ask for account passwords.
Unsubscribing
One-click unsubscribes take effect immediately. Requests by email or through our contact form are processed within 2 business days, well within the 10 business days required by the US CAN-SPAM Act. We never ask you to log in, pay, or give more information to unsubscribe.
Bounces and complaints
Our email is delivered through Amazon Simple Email Service, which notifies us automatically of bounces and spam complaints. Addresses that bounce permanently or mark our email as spam are added to a suppression list immediately and are never emailed again. We monitor bounce and complaint rates and pause sending to investigate if they rise.
Report a problem
If you received email from us that you didn't ask for, please tell us at hello@stretchingmoneytoday.com and include the message if you can. We'll remove the address and look into how it was added.
